EVERYTHING KING PROMISE
Gregory Bortey Newman popularly known by his stage name king promise is a Ghanaian afrobeat singer and songwriter. He was born to Francis Newman and Angela Quaye on August 16 , 1995 at Nungua in Accra, Ghana.
EDUCATION
King Promise attended De Kings Academy, went on to Nungua Senior High School, and eventually received a bachelor degree from Central University in 2016.
CAREER
At the age of 21, he began his musical career, and today he is among the most well-known performers in his native nation. His style of music includes afrobeats ,hip pop, R n B and high life.
King Promise is signed signed to the Gervin Ohene Addo-run record label Legacy Life Entertainment.
His first single “Thank God” featuring Fuse ODG was released in 2016 , produced by killbeatz.
King Promise was featured on Dj Vision’s tune “Double Trouble,” which peaked at the top of radio charts.
He released “oh yeah” in 2018 which became a hit track and made him popular. Songs like “CCTV,
“Tokyo”, “CCTV”, “Terminator “, “Perfect Combi”among many others made King promise well known in the music industry nationwide .
He released “Terminator” ft Young John in 2023 and “Paris” on 8th march 2024 ,which music lovers have been jamming to till now.

AWARDS
The terminator hitmaker has won some awards in his music journey.
From the start of his career he has been nominated several times for the Vodafone Music Awards now (TGMA)but received only two times.
He used his hit song CCTV to win the songwriter of the year in the year 2019 at TGMA. He also won afrobeat/afropop song of the year.
He won Best Male Vocalist of the Year(2018-Ghana Music Awards,UK) and African artist of the year ( the headies 2019)
He has also won the Best Male West Africa awards at the 2023 edition of the Africa Musik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
